10月8日，中鐵(tie)二局、五局、電(dian)(dian)(dian)氣化局參建的(de)渝利電(dian)(dian)(dian)氣化鐵(tie)路(lu)全(quan)線(xian)送電(dian)(dian)(dian)成功。渝利鐵(tie)路(lu)西(xi)起重慶，東至利川，全(quan)長(chang)(chang)264公(gong)里。與(yu)(yu)宜萬鐵(tie)路(lu)在利川涼霧火(huo)車(che)(che)(che)站接(jie)軌，是滬漢(han)蓉(rong)客運通(tong)道的(de)重要組成部分(fen)。該線(xian)以運營旅客列車(che)(che)(che)為(wei)主，設(she)計(ji)時(shi)(shi)速為(wei)200公(gong)里。計(ji)劃2013年(nian)底(di)前通(tong)車(che)(che)(che)。屆時(shi)(shi)，重慶與(yu)(yu)武(wu)漢(han)間有望開(kai)行(xing)動車(che)(che)(che)組，最快5小(xiao)時(shi)(shi)到達。渝利鐵(tie)路(lu)的(de)建設(she)為(wei)川渝地(di)區東出(chu)四(si)川盆地(di)的(de)高(gao)標準鐵(tie)路(lu)大通(tong)道補上了空白(bai)。該工程沿線(xian)地(di)質(zhi)(zhi)結構(gou)復雜，橋隧總長(chang)(chang)240公(gong)里，其中18座(zuo)隧道穿越喀斯特地(di)帶，存在巖溶、突(tu)水、瓦斯等世界(jie)性地(di)質(zhi)(zhi)難題。
